We are looking for one (1) UI Designer to join our team (paid internship with chances of joining the team full-time).

Job Description

We are looking for UI designer student interns with experience and talent to design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams, with developers, UX designers and copywriters. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.

Responsibilities

• Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with developers, copywriters and UX designers.
• Develop standard UI components and style guides for company-wide use.
• Create, improve, and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas to developers and other key stakeholders.
• Address product, marketing, and business needs.

Skills & Experience

• Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview.
• Experience with web and mobile app design.
• Working knowledge of responsive design and grid principles.
• Hands-on experience creating sitemaps, wireframes, lo-fi and hi-fi layouts, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
• Strong typography, layout, and visual design skills.
• Working knowledge of industry tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, InDesign, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, UXPin, Quartz.
• Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Creative ideas with a problem-solving mindset.
• Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
• Open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.

We don't expect you to be an expert UI designer, but you must be able to take existing models and best practices and adapt them to our environment. Be ready to show us designs you have created and discuss them in detail.

Have you designed apps? You will be required to deploy new designs into production by building creative and responsive layouts and prototypes using modern UI design best practices. Be ready to talk about your experiences doing mock-ups, designing interfaces, and sitemaps. You should have strong opinions about best web and app design practices.

We have a number of prospective projects. A major responsibility of this job is helping our leadership evaluate them and identify the top candidates. Skills & Experience

• Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview.
• Experience with web and mobile app design.
• UX design experience — preference given to candidates who have designed complex solutions for complete digital environments.
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
• Ability to work with team and other stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet company needs and vision.
• Extensive experience using UX design best practices, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility.
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly to teams and stakeholders.
• Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design, and open to feedback and constructive criticism.

Job Description

AI (our general term for data science, machine learning, and deep learning) is one of the most exciting technologies of the decade. This role is your opportunity to build and deploy new AI products from the ground up. You will be part of a team helping chart our AI strategy, build our AI development and production infrastructure, and lead the process from data collection through to deploying models in production.

Responsibilities

• Understand business objectives and develop models that help achieve them, along with metrics to track progress.
• Set up and manage our AI development and production infrastructure.
• Help AI product managers and business stakeholders understand the potential and limitations of AI when planning new products.
• Manage available resources such as hardware, data, and personnel so that deadlines are met.
• Analyze which ML algorithms could solve a given problem and rank them by success probability.

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow, Keras, or Theano.
• Demonstrated proficiency in multiple programming languages with a strong foundation in a statistical platform such as Python, R, SAS, or MATLAB, plus libraries such as scikit-learn and pandas.
• Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets.
• Proficiency with OpenCV and familiarity with Linux.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams, with developers and a creative team, and will help define our brand's voice across all copy.

• Research and understand the company's needs and target audiences through online research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
